ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ receives $5 million grant to increase STEM degrees among Latinx students

ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ (NVC) has been awarded nearly $5 million in a five-year grant to increase the number of Latinx and low-income students earning degrees in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to build model transfer agreements between two-year and four-year colleges in those areas, Oscar De Haro, assistant superintendent/vice president for student affairs announced today.

ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ (NVC) Performing Arts will present a season of five in-person performances this fall including productions of β€œAll Together Now,” β€œA Charlie Brown Christmas” and β€œElf Jr.,” as well as college choral and jazz ensemble concerts.

Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation Donates Record $10 Million to ΒιΆΉΣ³»­

The Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation is donating a record $10 million to ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ (NVC). The gift will support the construction and expansion of NVC’s Viticulture, Wine and Technology (VWT) program teaching spaces, which will be named the Wine Spectator Wine Education Complex at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­. The announcement was made by ΒιΆΉΣ³»­ Foundation Executive Director Jessica Thomason.

ΒιΆΉΣ³»­, along with Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) across the country are being recognized this week by President Biden, during National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week, before the start of LatinX Heritage Month being celebrated September 15-October 15.
