Eligibility and How to Apply

General EOPS Eligibility Criteria

(Students may be eligible for the EOPS program if they meet ALL of the following requirements)

  • Are a California resident OR AB540 student (confirmed by the NVC Admissions Office)
  • Have completed less than 70 degree applicable college units from all colleges attended. Must submit current academic transcripts from all school attended to evaluate this eligibility criteria.
  • Are a full-time student at NVC (12 or more units is considered full-time)
  • Apply for financial aid (FAFSA or the CA Dream Act Application) and be in good academic AND Financial Aid standing (NOT on disqualification)

  • Have an Educational disadvantage

  • Are eligible for a the CA College Promise Grant (formerly Board of Governors Fee Waiver Program)
    with a  -1,500 to 0 (zero) Student Aid Index (SAI) for financial aid or
